Data We Collect

When you sign in with your Strava account, we receive the following data from Strava:

  • Name and profile picture
  • Strava athlete ID
  • Activity data (name, distance, elevation, time, speed, heart rate, power, calories, photos)

You may also optionally provide your email address.

When signing up for the newsletter, we store your email address and the date of sign-up.

How We Use Your Data

  • Baptize (Auto-Namer): We read your activity name and replace default names with creative alternatives. Activity data is not stored.
  • Postcard: We load your activity data and photos to generate a shareable image card. Data is processed in your browser only and is not stored on our servers.
  • Event Registration: Your name and Strava ID are stored to manage your registration.
  • Email: If provided, used for event notifications and waitlist updates.
  • Newsletter: Occasional updates about routes, events, and community news.

Data Storage

Your profile data (name, profile picture, settings) is stored on Cloudflare KV and refreshed on each login. Strava activity data is not permanently stored — it is only temporarily loaded for display.

Your session expires after 7 days, after which you need to sign in again. All user data expires automatically after 30 days of inactivity.

Strava API

This website uses the Strava API to access your activity data. You can revoke access at any time at strava.com/settings/apps. Upon revocation, your data will be deleted.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Know what data we store about you.
  • Deletion: Delete all your data via the "Delete my data" button on your profile page.
  • Revocation: Disconnect your Strava account at any time.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to analyse website usage. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymous usage data. For more information, see the Google Privacy Policy.

Email

We use Resend for email delivery. Emails are only sent to people who have actively signed up (newsletter) or registered for events.

Cookies

We use functional cookies for session management (login) and cookies from Google Analytics. No advertising cookies.
